

































I will give a short history of this Ghost Town situated next to Diablo Canyon about 34 miles east of Flagstaff on Interstate 40...it was the place to cross the canyon in a wagon and later a vehicle...the site of a massacre, train robbery, treasure hunters and a tourist stop on Route 66...It has a colorful history that is available on Wikipedia...I visited Two Guns during the pandemic and I can see signs of deterioration since that visit...I arrived late afternoon to scout the location and photograph the sunset and returned very early the next morning for the full moon set and sunrise...there are a number of rock buildings slowly being reclaimed by mother nature, a picturesque bridge, an abandoned gas station and the swimming pool from an old KOA campground...some of the graffiti is amazing and haunting at the same time...a glimpse into the mind set of the artists...heavy clouds around the San Francisco Peaks in late afternoon and mostly clear skies the following morning...the last photo was taken at Twin Arrows, another abandoned tourist stop about ten minutes away, (only one arrow remains)...the Navajo nation built a Casino-Resort nearby, that is where I spent the night and it is very nice...both of these locations are very close to Interstate 40 and you hear the constant roar of the big trucks as they pass...a couple of long exposure photos feature the bright lights on the trucks as they travel across this high desert at 4am.
