August Super Blue Moon(two full moons in the same month)...these two images were taken about thirty minutes apart...as the moon gets closer to the horizon and you are looking through a thicker layer of the Earth's atmosphere, scattering shorter blue and violet wavelengths and allowing longer red wavelengths to dominate, it creates an orange hue...I also noticed the shape of the orange moon is not as perfectly round as the in the first photo...I did a little research and learned that atmospheric refraction, the effect of light traveling through different densities and temperatures of air can distort the image.
