Chile Cowboy 11-2025

My house is full of various decorations and different forms of art...the majority of these items have been gifts from friends and family...I can't remember where this chile cowboy came from...I used it in a holiday greeting card a long while back...it caught my eye yesterday so I did a quick little setup and photographed it...if you are interested in the process, place an old card table near an arcadia door for natural light, put a plastic milk crate on top, cover it with a cloth drop, put a black card in the background, reflect some light on the dark side with a silver disk and there you go...when I was a beginning photography student we had a well known local portrait photographer speak to our class, he held up a styrofoam ball and said, "When you can control the light around your subject, you will be a successful photographer."
