Imperial Sand Dunes 11-2023

I photographed these dunes once before so I knew where to go, what to look for, the best time of day and time of year...I was fortunate to have a calm day, no wind and high thin clouds...Sand looks like sand and there was little color in the sky so I decided these would look best in B&W...without color as a distraction you can concentrate on the shapes, patterns, contrast and texture of the dunes...I visited in the middle of the week so there were few others but the photos of the children playing on the dunes was a bonus, I'll bet they took some sand home!
