



































"Fred Harvey's Last Great Railroad Hotel"...built in the 1920's and has a very famous list of guests Amelia Earhart, John Wayne, Albert Einstein to name a few...this hotel is still an Amtrak Station...this collection of photos is not about the resort but just a snapshot of the grounds and the trains that travel by all day and night...what a kick just to sit and watch trains go by...the graffiti artwork on the rail cars becomes hypnotizing as you try to decipher the words and meanings...I was upgraded to a room with an outdoor patio that allowed me to slip out before sunrise for some early morning images...the night before, my sister, her husband and I, had a wonderful meal and then watched the sunset and the trains roll by...the owners added a museum building that contains many early railroad artifacts and photos, a display of Native American rugs and the largest Navajo Rug ever made...La Posada has a website that gives the extensive history of the hotel.
