Vermillion Cliffs Sunrise 7-2024

It is a wonderful experience to leave the big crowded city and drive to an area that is so majestic and be all alone for the sunrise except for an occasional vehicle on the rural highway...I stopped at an unmarked area, found a break in the barbed wire fence and walked a couple hundred yards following an obvious trail and spotted a stone tool...looking down the highway toward the mountains that climb to almost 9000 feet in elevation anticipating the trees and cool temps...I spotted this Arizona sign near a group of buildings at the base of the mountain...probably at least a 50-60 mile drive either direction for fresh groceries.
