Roadrunner 11-2024

I drove to the Salt River Recreation Area hoping to spot some wild horses...saw no horses but this little Roadrunner came near me for a close look and maybe he was hoping for a handout...he looks to be a juvenile because he is small, his top feathers are short and his tail looks thin....it is rare to see one of these birds and one who didn't turn and run away at first site which they usually do...he came within a couple of feet as he scampered by looking for anything to eat.
