Bees in Cactus Blossoms 4-2024

The rich color of these prickly pear cactus blooms photographs very nicely...I was not familiar with the busy bees darting at warp speed bloom to bloom...I often see a different species of bee in my yard and they move much more slowly...the only time these bees slow down is when they are climbing out of the middle of the bloom...I set my focus on the center top of the bloom and tried to get them leaving...it was interesting when a different species of bee arrived and there was a stand-off.
