This unique formation of pillow sandstone is near the Arizona-Utah border...it is situated near old ranch land and not easy to access...pools of water in the sandstone bowls provide excellent reflections which makes this a photographers' desired location...An outdoor outfitter from Kanab took a group of eight of us in for a two night, three day visit...slept in tents...we experienced heat, rain, cool mornings...there were a handful of other photographers in the area at the same time, some by themselves and others with guides...I had not slept out in a long time, the tent, sleeping bag and ground pad were comfortable but the critters scurrying outside and rubbing against the tent at night was a bit distracting.
